About Me

I originally studied English Literature at university followed by a career in finance, working in sales and trading roles at global banks for over a decade. Whilst on an extended parenting career break I decided to I wanted to find more nurturing and fulfilling work. I therefore retrained as a complementary therapist and as a practitioner to work with people with eating disorders, and then as a counsellor and psychotherapist, a choice largely influenced by my own experience of therapy and healing from difficult life experiences

I now have a busy private practice where I work with adult clients from all walks of life and who are experiencing a wide range of issues. I offer both face-to-face and online sessions, which allows me to work with people from all over the UK.

I have full public liability and indemnity insurance, an up-to-date Enhanced DBS certificate, and I practice under the ethical framework established by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).  This means that I am committed to working with you in a safe and professional way that empowers you to identify what choices you have available to you and what resources you already possess.

Due to the complex nature of the issues that clients bring to therapy, I am committed to continually improving my knowledge and skills through further educational training and CPD.
